Determining the construction company for the Maetok project

We started by considering people when creating the charity project Maetok. The objective was to create a new barracks where individuals could sit and deal with challenging times. Our aim was to bring people back to their homes and establish a sense of security and happiness that can only be experienced there.

Ukrainians have experienced sufficient suffering and are entitled to better conditions than an iron box and a dressing room in the yard, as we still believe.We tried to create a decent housing that would be convenient for each family member, took into account every detail, so the contractor put forward the following requirements - our Maetki should be:

• Mobile design enables the house to be disassembled, transported, and assembled in a new location without compromising its quality
• Modular design allows for the house to be expanded by adding new modules at any time
• A decent house that people in our Maetki feel at home in.The houses were required to have everything necessary for a comfortable stay, including access to all communication, and to be as ergonomic as possible
• Energy efficient houses must meet all energy efficiency requirements and comply with Ukraine's requirements and standards
• Ecological is defined as using materials that are environmentally friendly by the manufacturer

We noticed that the minimum house offer on the market starts at 15 sq.m., but we did not want to offer residential apartments to anyone. Therefore, we set the task to the designers to design an estate that was close in size to a one-room apartment, while also being comfortable and functional.

We also analyzed the insulation of modular housing, which is offered by various manufacturing companies. Someone may not pay attention to it, but it affects the cost of living, both in winter and in summer. Smart Housing Solutions provides 200 millimeters of mineral wool insulation for floors, walls, and ceilings, resulting in unmatched energy efficiency and comfort inside the home.The modular housing will have a warm and cozy atmosphere inside thanks to this level of insulation that will help reduce energy consumption of families.
